1st Match
1st Half
An even
start for both teams with tackles going in hard across the pitch.
Fry’s get
hold of the ball with some hard tackles from Mickey Parsons and excellent
passing from Joel Rowbottom.
Stoke
Lane win the ball back and attempt to break into the Fry’s defence, an attempt
to clear the ball by Fry’s was mis-kicked and fell to
a Stoke Lane player who shot from 7 yards out for 0-1.
Fry’s
responded with some excellent tackling and passing, making good use of the
wings with runs from Jack Dancey and Perry May. Fry’s
win 2 corners but were unable to finish.
Again
Fry’s win the ball and were unlucky not to equalise
before the end of the half.
2nd Half
Fry’s start well with a strong run down the wing from Perry,
holding off a strong challenge from the
Stoke Lane reply with a strong run down the left wing and a decent cross into the penalty area. A brilliant header out by Jonathan Shorland who ran the ball the full length of the pitch to cross, only for nobody to get on the end.
Stoke lane reply with another run down the wing with a cross in that comes to nothing.
Fry’s attack
Again Stoke Lane run the ball back at Fry’s but the home side win the ball back and Jack Dancey’s cross trickles through the defence to find Lee Heath for a tap in ,1-1.
Straight from the restart Fry’s win the ball back and a short run down the middle of the pitch by Mickey Parsons who’s shot gave the Stoke Lane keeper little chance,2-1.
Stoke Lane
had little reply to Fry’s attacking game, and another gutsy run from Mickey
down the right saw him put in a good cross. Brought down by
Charlie Goodwin with his back to the goal who spins and shoots putting the ball
out of reach from the

2nd Match
1st Half
Again both teams start well, having equal possession
in the first 5 minutes with good tackles going in at both ends.
A free
kick on the half way line for
Fry’s win
the ball back straight from the goal kick and again work the left wing with a
cross from Ben Clapp.
Stoke
Lane reply with some good attacking play only to be stopped with a tackle from
Ben Watt whose pass to Mathew Hollaway then found
Kyle who turned and coolly slotted the ball home, 1-0.
The
visitors replied with a strong run down the left wing and a cross in that came
to nothing.
Stoke
Lane continued to run the ball at Fry’s but every time were shut down by Ben
Watt and Jordan Finch who got the ball straight up to Kyle and Ben Clapp but
weren’t able to find the net.
Stoke
Lane broke free again and the Fry’s defence failed to clear the ball and the
visitors took advantage of this and shot to make it 1-1 at half time.
2nd Half
Fry’s
start this half strong, winning the ball straight away with a determined run
down the left wing by Ben Harper who whipped in a fast ball across goal that
was tapped in by Ben Clapp at a very tight angle, 2-1.
Stoke
Lane refuse to take this lying down and come straight back at Fry’s with an
unchallenged run down the middle of the pitch that saw a good shot hit the back
of the net, 2-2.
The visitors won the ball
back from the restart and took exactly the same root to drive home to make it
2-3.
Again
Fry’s reply with some good
work from Ben Harper but the home side continue to play the ball through the
middle of the pitch where Stoke Lane have all their strength instead of using
the wings.
A good run by Ben Harper
and a long pass in to Ben Clapp who was brought down by a
Ben Harper stepped up to drill the ball out of
reach of the big frame of the

Harper then win the ball back from the kick with an excellent pass up to Kyle
who was unable to hold the ball.
